Two weeks, great friends, and the most beautiful mountains and waters on earth. Every year, a new adventure.
Who we are
Travel to Hike is Xiaobin and Abe's way of bringing their closest friends together once a year to do what they love most — explore wild, beautiful places on foot. Each trip is carefully researched and planned: a destination chosen for its dramatic landscapes, a mix of challenging summit days and relaxed exploration, and enough time to really settle in and experience a place rather than just pass through.
We believe two weeks is the sweet spot. Long enough to build a real rhythm as a group, push ourselves on some serious hikes, discover hidden corners, and still have lazy afternoons by a lake or a long dinner with local wine. These trips aren't tours — they're shared adventures among people who trust each other on a mountain and at a dinner table.
What we're about
We go where the terrain demands something of you. Summit days, ridge walks, canyon descents — places that earn their views. We pick destinations where the landscape is the main event.
These trips are built around friendship. Shared miles on the trail have a way of deepening bonds that ordinary life can't replicate. Everyone on these trips earns their place — and earns their rest.
Xiaobin and Abe put serious work into each itinerary — researching trails, logistics, local food, and hidden gems. Each trip is tailored to the group and the destination, never a copy-paste adventure.
There's something about a glacial lake, a turquoise river, or a coastline beneath a ridge that makes a place feel complete. We seek destinations where dramatic peaks meet equally stunning water.
We don't rush. Two weeks lets us find a groove, rest when we need to, take on the hardest trails, and still have evenings that stretch long over a good meal. That's the Travel to Hike standard.
No two trips are the same. A new country, a new culture, new trails that none of us have walked before. The only constant is the people — and the certainty that it will be unforgettable.

Slovenia packs extraordinary alpine scenery into a small country. Triglav National Park covers most of the eastern Julian Alps and is home to the country's highest peak, crystal glacial lakes, and mountain huts that make hut-to-hut trekking a local tradition. June is prime time — wildflowers in bloom, snow cleared from the high passes.
Slovenia's highest peak and a national rite of passage — no Slovene is considered truly local until they've stood on this summit. The Krma Valley Trail is the classic route, tackling forests, alpine pastures, a via ferrata section, and sweeping views of the entire Julian Alps.
An iconic trail winding through a stunning alpine valley filled with seven glacial lakes, each with its own shape and vivid color. The path passes mountain huts, limestone cliffs, and open alpine meadows — one of the finest full-day hikes in all of Slovenia.
A breathtaking 25 km trail following the impossibly turquoise Soča River from its mountain source to the town of Bovec. Crossing footbridges suspended over the river, passing waterfalls and rapids — one of the most beautiful river walks in Europe. Summer bus transfers link the towns.
Slovenia's most-visited natural wonder for good reason. Wooden boardwalks and bridges cling to limestone canyon walls above rushing emerald water, leading to the dramatic Šum waterfall. Pair with Lake Bled and its island church for an unforgettable afternoon.
The Savica waterfall is one of Slovenia's most iconic natural spectacles — a double stream plunging 78 m into a green basin. Combine with a loop around Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent glacial lake in Slovenia, nestled in the heart of Triglav National Park.
A steep but spectacular hike onto a high alpine plateau beneath prominent 2,500 m peaks. Home to marmots, chamois, and Alpine ibex. The reward: jaw-dropping views of Triglav's legendary 3 km-wide North Face. A mountain hut is open June–August for lunch and overnight stays.
